Testimonial from Judie Paterno-Skolnick

Clouded Leopards, Wands, Pool Noodles, Ace Bandage Wraps… I must admit at first I was very skeptical of how this was going to help my “Scared of the World” Australian Shepherd.  We believe Murry was abused by a man to the point of breaking his back leg at one point.  He was found wandering near where I work for two months, and no one could get near him.  Over the past seven years, I and a wonderful, patient dog trainer have been doing a lot of work with him to help him relax.  He has come a long way, but is still very fearful of storms, and the world in general.  That was until Donna and TTouch.

I must say that I was very skeptical of what I thought could be accomplished with touches and confidence courses given that this was a dog with a bad abuse history and severe anxiety.  What a pleasant surprise I got the first time Donna came and introduced us to TTouch.

She taught us a few touches, Noah’s March, Clouded Leopard and Ear Slides for the first visit, but the truly amazing thing is how Murry responded to the touches and Donna.  Murry was relaxed, just taking the world in, instead of being afraid of it.  He even picked up a few toys and started playing with them (he never plays).  I had tears in my eyes watching these events unfold.  For the first time, I saw the dog that Murry could be.  What a beautiful, pleasant surprise.

This past session, we had a bad thunderstorm when Donna arrived.  Murry was doing his usual storm routine of trying to dig through whatever was available, not quite sure where he was digging to, but just digging and drooling everywhere.

Donna showed me a full body TTouch® wrap which we placed on Murry.  We then started walking him around the house, and lo and behold, you could actually watch his anxiety decrease.  When we stopped, he lied down on the floor, not calmly by any means, but was no longer digging.  When a shot of lightning hit, we got up again and walked him.  It was absolutely amazing to see Murry work his way through the storm instead of just cowering in fear until it was over.

Thank you Donna and TTouch for changing our lives and the life of Mr. Murry.  It is such a joy to watch him enjoy life and not be afraid of all the things around him.  We still have a long way to go, but at least he, Josh and I, have started the journey together and are already seeing its benefits.

My two cats, Calvan and Chloe, both had a beautiful experience with Donna, whose gift they (and I) truly appreciated very much. Her TTouch method is very effective and the animals responded to her as if they were drawn to a magnet. It was very impressive to watch her gentle and soothing style as she won their hearts.

Calvan is my absolutely amazing ‘people person,’ part Maine Coon cat, (who attracts even those who don’t like cats) who has a sparkling personality and compelling style. Chloe is my beautiful gray Tortoise cat who is shy and reticent, and slow to trust. Once you have earned her trust, however, she is yours for life.

Well, Chloe fell in love with Donna and allowed her to not only pet and soothe her, but she allowed Donna to gently wrap her in a very safe and comforting TTouch wrap. She settled down and started purring immediately. I was amazed at how my usually so shy cat was so comfortable with Donna and so open to the work she was doing with her TTouch wand. My shy Chloe actually became very playful.

Calvan just accepted all the attention as he gravitated towards Donna who offered her calm and loving approach to soothe him as well.  Since he suffers with thyroid and stomach issues, I feel Donna was very helpful in relaxing him and helping him feel better. He loved every minute of it — that I can tell you.

Donna also worked with my daughter’s dog, Gidget, who is diabetic and recently went blind. She had been very nervous and was barking a lot. After Donna did some TTouch body work on her and wrapped her in a lovely purple TTouch wrap, Gidget not only calmed down, but went into her bed and fell asleep. Calvan followed soon after and was fast asleep flat out on his back in total relaxation. We all had a great TTouch afternoon.
